Shri Hardeep Singh Puri,
Hardeep Singh Puri (born 15 February 1952) is an Indian politician, former diplomat who is the current Civil Aviation Minister of India and Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs in India. He is a 1974 batch Indian Foreign Service officer who served as the Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations from 2009 to 2013.
He formerly served as President of the United Nations Security Council and as Chairman of United Nations Security Council Counter - Terrorism Committee, Vice President of International Peace Institute and Secretary - General of Independent Commission on Multilateralism in New York.
Hardeep Singh Puri was born in Delhi. His father was a diplomat, and he attended boarding school in India as his father was posted in countries where there were no options for English-language education. He earned Bachelor of Arts in history and Master of Arts in history from Hindu College, University of Delhi. He worked as a lecturer in history at St. Stephen's College, Delhi.
Hardeep has served as Joint secretary to the Government of India in Ministry of External Affairs from 1994 to 1997 and from 1999 to 2002. He has also served as Joint secretary to the Government of India in Ministry of Defence from 1997 to 1999. He later served as Secretary to the Government of India (Economic Relations) in Ministry of External Affairs from 2009 to 2013.
Puri has been stationed at important diplomatic posts in Brazil, Japan, Sri Lanka, and the United Kingdom. Between 1988 and 1991, he was the Coordinator of the UNDP/ UNCTAD Multilateral Trade Negotiations Project to help Developing Countries in the Uruguay Round of Multilateral Trade Negotiations. He also served as the chairman of the United Nations Security Council Counter - Terrorism Committee from January 2011 to February 2013, and as President of the United Nations Security Council in August 2011 and November 2012.
Ambassador Puri joined International Peace Institute as a senior advisor in June 2013. Puri joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in January 2014, expressing an admiration for the party's approach to national security.
In May 2019, Puri became the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Housing and Urban Affairs and Civil Aviation and Minister of State for Commerce and Industry
Hardeep Singh Puri is married to Lakshmi Puri, who is the former Assistant Secretary-General at United Nations. They have two daughters. His brother, Pradeep Puri, is a 1979 batch retired IAS officer who played an instrumental role in the construction of DND Flyway.

Tushar is an appointee member of the first executive council of Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University promoted by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India. Tulsi Nowlakha Mirchandaney is the Managing Director and Accountable Manager for Blue Dart Aviation, India’s first and only scheduled domestic cargo airline, with a fleet of six Boeing 757 freighters. Blue Dart Aviation is the only cargo airline that has sustained its operations in India for the past twenty five years. Her responsibility spans the organization’s flight and ground operations, inhouse security, airframe line and heavy maintenance, and ground handling activities, with a workforce of over 1200 committed professionals. During her tenure, the company expanded its capacity with the phase out of the classic B737-200 freighters, replacing them with the more fuel-efficient B757 freighters. She has been actively associated with the airline and express industry in India for over fifty years, and with the Blue Dart group for twenty five years, having been involved with the launch of Blue Dart Aviation prior to its inception in 1996. She was responsible for setting up the air cargo products, interline arrangements, and major contracts including Postmail, and initiating domestic and international charter operations, all of which continue to contribute to the group’s product portfolio. Her erstwhile functions at Blue Dart included Marketing and Projects, during which time the company acquired its first Superbrand and other brand awards. She spearheaded First Choice, the Group’s continuous improvement programme, as the first Senior Advisor for First Choice in Blue Dart, and initiated the CSR programme.
Tulsi is the Co-Chair on the Confederation of Indian Industry’s National Committee for Civil Aviation for 2019-20 and 2020-21, is a board member of Blue Dart Express and Air Cargo Forum India. She has an MBA degree in International Aviation from Concordia University, Montreal, and has been felicitated by the Ministry of Civil Aviation for her contribution to Civil Aviation in the country.

His commitment and love for his work and the industry won him the “Face of the Future” award at India Cargo Awards 2015; “Exemplary Leadership” award at Express, Logistics & Supply Chain awards, 2017 and “Entrepreneur of the year” award at India Cargo Awards 2017. Yash is a benevolent donor to several charities and additionally supports social organizations like ‘The Earth Saviors Foundation’ and ‘Chintan Environmental Research and Action Group’.
Mr. Yashpal Sharma is a graduate from University of Delhi and has been an active sportsperson. He played Cricket, Soccer, Basketball, Snooker and many other sports at club, school and university levels. He is very passionate about music and is an avid dancer.
